Chelsea are doing everything they could to ensure that Belgian Playmaker Eden Hazard remains at Chelsea for the upcoming season.
Hazard is heavily linked with a summer move to Santiago Bernabeu as the Los Blancos are keen on upgrading their team at the final third of the pitch.
However, the Blues have been boosted in their mission to retain the 26-year-old beyond the summer after Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane’s decision to stepped down as the Los Blancos manager last month.
The Frenchman’s resignation was a shock decision but that seems to be a good one for Chelsea who are willing to go an extra mile to keep the Belgian at Stamford Bridge.
It was reported via Don Balon during January that Hazard could join Madrid as long as Zidane, his idol, remains at Santiago Bernabeu.
With Zidane’s resignation from being the Galacticos, Roman Abramovich now has better chances of keeping him.
Evening Standard are also reporting that the Blues could be moving to sign the former Madrid manager as part of their search for Antonio Conte’s replacement ahead of the campaign.
Should Zidane move to Stamford Bridge this summer, he would definitely prevent Hazard from moving to another club in the upcoming season but it remains unknown if the Frenchman will agree to join the West London Club.
