Italian Serie A giants Fiorentina have announced the free transfer signing of veteran winger Franck Ribery.
His transfer was announced via the official Twitter handle of the Italian top flight side on Wednesday.
Franck Ribery was a free agent before he agreed to join Fiorentina on a free transfer ahead of the start of the new Italian Serie A campaign this weekend.
The ex-French international player became a free agent after his contract with German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich came to an end.

Franck Ribery was linked with a free transfer move to Premier League sides like Arsenal, Wolves and many more.
He had also been attracting the interest of Manchester United and Chelsea during his career with the Bavarian giants.
Ribery spent 12 years at Bayern Munich where he won many titles including the 2012 Champions League title won by a late goal from fellow veteran winger Arjen Robben.
Bayern Munich won their last Champions League title by beating German Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund 2-1 with Robben getting the winning goal for the Bavarian giants.
Ribery and Robben were both on target in their last home game at Bayern Munich who ran riot against Eintracht Frankfurt to seal another German Bundesliga title.
