Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has revealed what he told Tammy Abraham after he missed a crucial penalty during the shootout.

His penalty miss was crucial as he handed Liverpool the UEFA Super Cup title.

After the game, Frank Lampard revealed his word of encouragement to Tammy Abraham as he said that he told the Nigerian-born England international striker not to worry about the penalty miss.

According to the Chelsea manager, Tammy Abraham won’t be the first player to miss a penalty or the last player to miss a penalty.

Frank Lampard and Chelsea were the better team on the night but they came out second best at the end of the game thanks to the penalty miss from Tammy Abraham during the shootout.

Nigerian-born England national team player Tammy Abraham was the only Chelsea player to miss from five, while Liverpool scored all their five penalties as the Reds ran out 5-4 winners.

The two teams had played out a 2-2 draw at the end of both 90 minutes and extra time.

Sadio Mane was the main man for Liverpool after he scored two goals, one in regulation time and one in extra time.

Chelsea got their goals through Olivier Giroud and Jorginho (penalty).
