Newly appointed Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has urged young winger Callum Hudson-Odoi to stay and be a part of his plans at Chelsea.
According to the Chelsea legend, Callum Hudson-Odoi can be central to his plans at the club.
Frank Lampard spoke about the England international player during the preseason tour of Dublin.
The former Chelsea midfielder was speaking ahead of the friendly with St. Patrick Athletic.
He said that it’s too early to make promises but his desire is for Callum Hudson-Odoi to be an important player for his Chelsea team.
Callum Hudson-Odoi came through the ranks at Chelsea before making his debut for the Blues last year.
The 18-year-old has impressed in the Chelsea team since he appeared in his first game.
Immediate past Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri didn’t play him like he would have liked in the last campaign and that seems to have cast doubt in his mind.
Hudson-Odoi was seriously linked with German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich in January but the Blues were able to repel several bids from the Bavarian giants for him.
The player also submitted a transfer request which was turned down immediately.
Callum Hudson-Odoi is ready to sign a new contract but he wants more responsibilities in the team.
He has one year left on his current deal at Stamford Bridge.

PSV Eindhoven winger Steven Bergwijn is waiting on an approach from German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich this summer as he contemplates on his next career decision.

The 21-year-old scored 14 goals and also provided 12 assists for PSV Eindhoven in the Dutch Eredivisie last season but it was not enough to give his team a second successive league title.

German champions Bayern Munich have reportedly tried and failed to hijack the transfer of young Dutch defender Sepp van der Berg.
This is according to the publication from TalkSport which revealed that the Bavarian giants tried to derail the Liverpool transfer by reaching out to the player’s agent.
The Germans also tried to contact his family before the move to Liverpool was made official on Thursday in a deal reported to be around £1.4m.

Sepp van der Berg was officially announced as a Liverpool player on Thursday thus making him the first signing of the summer for the newly crowned European champions.
Liverpool signed the Dutchman from PEC Zwolle FC of the Netherlands.
He enjoyed a breakthrough season for PEC Zwolle last season.
Sepp van der Berg made 15 appearances for PEC Zwolle who finished well outside the relegation places at the end of the latest Dutch Eredivisie season.
The player is widely regarded as one of the young centre backs in the Netherlands and he has been likened to Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk who was a key member of the team that won the Champions League at the start of this month.

Chelsea fans have been boosted with the news that exciting winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has returned to light training as he recovers from a serious Achilles injury.
Callum Hudson-Odoi has been the subject of several bids from German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich especially during the winter transfer window in January but Chelsea stood firm that the player was not for sale.

The young English winger has started to do drills as he works his way back to full fitness.
Callum Hudson-Odoi has enjoyed a remarkable rise in the past months after impressing for Chelsea in both the Premier League and the Europa League especially.
He also won his first cap for the Three Lions of England during a Euro 2020 qualifier against Czech Republic at the Wembley Stadium.
England got their qualifying campaign off to a winning start via a 5-0 win over the Czech Republic team.
