Unai Emery: I Am Expecting More Arsenal Departure Within 3 Weeks

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has revealed that he expects more transfer outgoings between now and the rest of the window in other major European leagues.

The Spanish tactician made this known during his pre-match press conference on Friday ahead of the Gunners’ Premier League opener.

Arsenal will open their campaign for the new Premier League season when they travel to the Northeast to take on Newcastle United who have a new manager in Steve Bruce.

The Manchester United legend was named the Newcastle United manager this summer after Rafael Benitez left the club at the end of his contract in June.

Unai Emery would be hoping to start the season with a win.

The Spanish tactician is also hoping that fringe players at Arsenal will leave the club before the transfer window shuts in the other major European clubs.

Arsenal still have as much as three weeks to move on their fringe players.

The likes of Skhrodan Mustafi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan have been transfer-listed at Arsenal and they could still move to other clubs despite the fact that the Premier League transfer window shut down on Thursday.

Unai Emery and Arsenal signed six players this summer while over a dozen left the club either on loan or permanently.
