Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has been left out of the squad for the club-friendly clash with Italian Serie A giants AC Milan.

The Red Devils will face AC Milan in the International Champions Cup (ICC) on Saturday and the Frenchman is not expected to be in the team for the game.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed the reason behind his absence for the Real Madrid game in a chat with the official website of the club.

According to him, Paul Pogba will miss the game with a back spasm.

Paul Pogba has been the subject of transfer interest from Juventus and Real Madrid this summer but it looks like Manchester United will hang on to his services for the new season at least.

The Frenchman has two years left on his current deal at Old Trafford though Manchester United have the option of a third year.

€180m-rated Pogba has been linked with a return to former club Juventus as well as former Spanish La Liga champions Real Madrid but the two clubs have been priced out of a move for him despite the fact that the player is keen to leave Manchester United for a new challenge.
