Premier League giants Arsenal have reportedly had a loan offer to sign a new centre back turned down by Italian Serie A champions Juventus.
According to experienced Goal Charles Watts, Arsenal had offered a two-year loan deal to sign Juventus defender Daniele Rugani with the option of a permanent transfer at the end of the loan period.
Arsenal are in need of a new centre back as they prepare for the 2019/20 Premier League season which starts next week.
Their approach for Rugani was turned down by Juventus who are keen to keep the Italian international centre back at the club.

Juventus want to retain the services of five defenders for the new season including Daniele Rugani.
The Italian champions have concerns over the fitness of veteran centre back Giorgio Chiellini.
Apart from the Italian national team duo of Rugani and Chiellini, Juventus have other centre backs like Leonardo Bonucci, Matthijs De Ligt and Merih Demirel.
Juventus signed Dutch international De Lift from Eredivisie giants Ajax Amsterdam earlier this summer, while Turkish defender Demirel became a Juventus player this summer having joined from fellow Italian Serie A club Sassuolo.
Merih Demirel had earlier signed for Sassuolo where he spent six months before his €18m transfer to Juventus.
