Paul Pogba

After the blow from the pre-season match against Athletico Madrid, Real Madrid remain keen on signing Paul Pogba from Manchester United before the end of the transfer window. The France midfielder is open to transfer which the agent Mino Raiola confirm talks is on for a deal away from Old Trafford.

However, United new boss Ole Solskjaer confirms he has plans for Pogba coming season and he remains a Manchester United player.

Pogba remains a crucial player for Manchester United after scoring the highest goal scorer for the club last season with 14 goals and 9 assist in 2018/19 season.

Real Madrid already signed Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy, Rodrygo along with players returning from loan such as James Rodriguez from Bayern Munich.

Pogba remains wanted at Real Madrid as Manchester United seems to be on the look for replacement such as Milinkovic Savic and Bruno Fernandes if the deal pulls through before the closing of the transfer window.

Notwithstanding, His (Pogba) decision to leave the club is still unclear as United boss assures he is staying at the club as the rebuild continues with him, Juventus keep monitoring every situation of Paul Pogba as he remains unsettled with the transfer window still open.

Real Madrid – on the other hand – is also keeping an eye on Eriksen situation at Tottenham as he is left with one year on his contract with the club.

With Real Madrid recent disturbing results in the pre-season friendlies, Madrid might pull off some late signing to strengthen the squad on transfer window deadline day.

Paul Pogba was valued between €150m – €160m by Manchester United and Real Madrid might be forced to sign him up if they keep getting vulnerable even before the new season start – with the recent collapse bid to offload Gareth Bale, Zinedine Zidane plan remain unknown as to his rebuild proper as the club begins to plan ahead to get a better result – but, he wouldn’t take a chance going into the new season with low confidence if he wants to get result in the coming campaign.

On the other hand, something needs to be done as new signing Luka Jovic was taken off during the defeat to Athletico Madrid with a left ankle injury which takes the injury list to 5 players after 3 pre-season matches for the Los Blancos.

We wait to see Zidane’s approach on this difficult task as the new Real Madrid coach continue to rebuild since his arrival for the club.

Ousmane Dembele

It is understood that Man United will now face Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele as their top target with just a few days to the end of the summer transfer window.

Reports claim that the Red Devils have accepted defeat in their chase for England international winger Jadon Sancho as their improved bid of £90 million is not being accepted by German Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund.

Reports in Spain now claim that the Red Devils have turned their attention on the Barcelona star as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to bolster his attack for the new season.

Ousmane Dembele is no longer favoured for selection in the Barcelona team but he has continued to insist on staying at the club. However, a loan deal is being proposed with an option to buy and that could tempt the player into accepting the offer from the Red Devils so as to get more playing time.

Should Barcelona decide to let go of the former Borussia Dortmund forward, he will be available for about £53 million and that could be considered by the Red Devils to invest in.

Talks are expected to be held between the two clubs to agree on the terms for the deal before personal terms can be discussed with the player.

Diogo Dalot

Italian Serie A outfit AS Roma are reported to be in contact with Man United over the signature of full-back Diogo Dalot, according to reports in Italy.

Diogo Dalot has gone down the pecking order in the manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and has only featured in one game since the restart of last season and it is expected to continue. This is the reason why he will have to leave the club for a new challenge.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will prefer Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Timothy Fosu-Mensah at the right full-back and does not have any plan for Diogo Dalot for the new season.

Italian Serie A outfit AC Milan have earlier made an attempt to secure the service of Diogo Dalot on a loan deal but from all indications, they have been beaten by AS Roma.

Italian outlet Tutto Mercato reports that AS Roma have touched base with the Red Devils over a potential move for Diogo Dalot and they will have to agree on a deal Man United.

The Red Devils will be happy to cash in from the sale of Diogo Dalot as they are in need of cash to be able to sanction other deals before the end of the summer transfer window.

English Premier League club Arsenal are also in a last-minute rush to complete a deal for a midfielder before the summer transfer window ends on October 3.

The Mikel Arteta team have already secured the signature of Willian from Chelsea and Gabriel Magalhaes from Lille while two other players have been made permanent as they were on loan at the club.

The Attention has since been shifted to the search for a midfielder and the Gunners have been linked with the signature of Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey and Lyon star Houssem Aouar but they are yet to snap of the signature of any of the two.

The asking price has been the challenge for the Gunners to secure the service of any of the midfield targets and that could force them into considering other options.

Italian publication ll Messaggero, cited by Daily Star reports that the North London outfit are now considering the signature of AS Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara and will involve Lucas Torreira in the deal.

It is understood that £19 million will be enough to convince AS Roma to release the 23-year-old and the said fee will not be paid completely with the involvement of Lucas Torreira in the deal.

Jadon Sancho

Man United have been told that England international winger Jadon Sancho will not be leaving Borussia Dortmund this summer transfer window as their bid of £90 million was rejected.

The Red Devils are, therefore; set to respond to the rejection of their bid by making moves to secure other alternatives despite the scarce options available in the market.

Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele has been linked with a move to the Old Trafford as he now emerges as the top target but it is understood that it will be difficult to convince hi of a move as he is not ready to leave Camp Nou despite the lack of playing time.

However, it is believed that Man United will look to bring in one player on loan with a report claiming that they could be considering the option of Edison Cavani and Luka Jovic as both players have been offered to them.

Edison Cavani is now a free agent as he has left French Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint Germain. It is believed that it will be easy for the Red Devils to convince him of a deal before the end of the summer window as he is yet to find a new club.

Luka Jovic is also on the books of Real Madrid but he has lacked playing time and that is enough to convince hi of a move.

EPL: Will Man United still move in for Bournemouth duo?

Man United have been linked with the signature of Bournemouth stars David Brook and Josh King but there is yet to be any development on their interest with few days left to the end of the summer transfer window.

It has been a very long summer transfer window for the Red Devils for failing to secure the services of most of their targets. Ajax star Donny van de Beek is the only major signing made by Man United this summer window despite being linked with a long list of names.

However, the Manchester Evening News report that it is unlikely for the Red Devils to sign Josh King and David Brooks especially now that they are desperate to conclude a deal before the summer transfer window.

David Brooks scored seven goals in 33 appearances for the Cherries in the first season but spent was out to injury in most part of the last campaign. That might have limited the number of his suitors and might have convinced the Red Devils not to make a move for him.

The need for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the moment is a winger and a defender as that has been very difficult to come by especially with the rejection of their bid for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.

Ismaila Sarr

English Premier League outfit Man United with few days to the end of the summer transfer window strives to find an alternative to Jadon Sancho as they have failed to reach an agreement with Borussia Dortmund.

Of the several options available, the Red Devils have made an inquiry about the availability of Senegalese star Ismaila Sarr, according to The Telegraph as the player is heavily linked with a move away from Watford this summer transfer window.

The Telegraph has, therefore, claimed that the Red Devils’ attempt was to secure the service of the winger on loan as they hope to land Jadon Sancho in the future.

However, Man United have been told that the option of a loan deal for Ismaila Sarr will not be accepted as they are only open to part ways with him on a permanent basis for £45 million.

Watford are now relegated from the Premier League but the quality of Ismaila Sarr was never hidden as he gave a good performance in the league to have attracted interest from the Red Devils.

According to Transfermarket, Ismaila Sarr started 23 games for the Hornets and directly contributed to 12 goals (6 goals and 6 assists).

Two reasons why N’Golo Kante would have considered United move

NGolo Kante

The Red Devils can boast of Donny van de Beek, Bruno Fernandes, and Paul Pogba in their midfield and now have a need for a strong defensive midfielder that will help the flair players moving forward, this is the reason why they are being linked with the signature of Chelsea star N’Golo Kante.

N’Golo Kante is already out of favour at Chelsea and has been linked with a move away and Man United are reported to be considering the option.

A report claims the former Leicester City defensive midfielder would have considered a move to the Old Trafford for two reasons but there seems not to be a concrete offer from the Red Devils.

It is reported that a move to Man United would have been possible and easy for the World Cup winner because of his desire to remain in the Premier League.

The second reason for why he would have loved a move to United is the fact that he will be happy to link up with his friend Paul Pogba, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.

However, it is unlikely that N’Golo Kante will be leaving the Stamford Bridge as Man United did not make any formal move to snap up his signature while manager Frank Lampard is still interested in having him around.

Who should Arsenal sign? Houssem Aouar or Thomas Partey

Timothy Aiyeku

Houssem Aouar

Arsenal have been heavily linked with the signature of two midfielders in this summer transfer window with the hope that they will conclude at least one of the deals before October 5.

Although it has been difficult for the Gunners as Houssem Aouar and Thomas Partey both have high price tags on their head by French Ligue 1 Lyon and Spanish La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid and it has been difficult for Arsenal to meet.

Atletico Madrid are requesting the sum of £45 million as the release clause for the Ghanaian international while Lyon have also insisted on £50 million for Houssem Aouar and earlier bids have been rejected but the Gunners are believed to be preparing an improved bid for the Ligue 1 player.

Arsenal legend Nigel Winterburn in his opinion claims that it is a positive thing for Arsenal to be linked with players like Houssem Aouar and Thomas Partey but noted that they must sell some of the existing midfielders in the team to create space.

He, therefore, prefers the signing of Thomas Partey ahead of Houssem Aouar, noting that the Atletico Madrid midfielder is quick, solid, and powerful without the ball as much as on it.

He added that the ability of Partey to take the ball in tight situations and go past the opposing midfield players will open space in and around the opponent’s defence for goals to be scored.
