Newcastle United Sign Arsenal Target In £20m Deal

Premier League side Newcastle United have completed the signing of highly rated winger Allan Saint-Maximin.
His transfer was announced by the club via their official Twitter account on Friday night.
The young French winger has signed for the Magpies for an initial fee of £16m plus £4m in bonuses, thus taking the transfer to the £20m mark.
Allan Saint-Maximin has joined Newcastle United from French Ligue 1 club OGC Nice.
He has put pen to paper on a six-year deal until the end of the 2024/25 season.

The Frenchman was previously linked with a move to Arsenal earlier in this summer’s transfer window but nothing came out of those links.
The Gunners were in need of a winger and the young French player was one of the wing options linked with the club.
Arsenal were mainly linked with Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha and even had a £40m bid rejected for the Ivorian international.
Crystal Palace were reluctant to sell Zaha whom they slapped an asking price of £80m on to ward off the interest of clubs like Arsenal.
The club turned attention to his compatriot Nicolas Pepe whom they signed for a record transfer fee of £72m from French Ligue 1 outfit Lille.
