Turkish Super League giants Arsenal have reportedly been linked with a move for Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil this summer.

According to the publication from the stables of popular media channel ESPN, Fenerbahce want to sign Ozil on loan but they might encounter his big weekly wages.

Mesut Ozil has two years left on the three-year deal that he signed last year.

The German World Cup winner signed a contract extension at Arsenal in February 2018 to take his weekly wages to £350,000 thus making him the highest paid player in the history of the club.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has struggled to integrate Ozil into his training methods at the club since he became the Gunners boss last summer.

His inability to fully adapt to the training style introduced by Unai Emery has led to transfer rumours of a possible move away from the club.

Mesut Ozil is a German of Turkish descent and a move to Fenerbahce could be the best move for both parties (him and Arsenal).

The German returned to Arsenal training on Friday as the Gunners started preseason training ahead of the new campaign which starts next month.

Arsenal start their campaign in the Premier League with an away game at Newcastle United.
