German Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund have slammed a big transfer fee on young defender Dan-Axel Zagadou who’s attracting the interest of Premier League giants Arsenal.

According to the Metro, the Germans would only sell the player if they receive £26.8m for him.

Dan-Axel Zagadou is a utility defender that can play either as a left-back or as a centre back.

The French u-20 international star has already told Borussia Dortmund officials that he wants to leave the club this summer amidst the interest from Arsenal.

Dan-Axel Zagadou came through the ranks at French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) before he joined Borussia Dortmund in 2017.

North London giants Arsenal are desperate for reinforcements defensively and Dan-Axel Zagadou has been mentioned as a possible transfer addition for the Gunners.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery wants to rectify the defensive issues that affected his team last season with the addition of new quality defenders.

The Spanish tactician saw his team capitulate under pressure in the race for Champions League football via the league route before losing the Europa League final to fellow London club Chelsea.

Unai Emery and Arsenal finished in fifth position at the end of the latest Premier League last season thus missing out on Champions League football for next season.
