Three Premier League sides are in the running to sign former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor on a free transfer.

Emmanuel Adebayor is a free agent after his contract with Turkish Super League outfit Istanbul Basaksehir was terminated at the weekend.

The interest of the Premier League clubs was revealed by The Sun.

West Ham United, Watford and Sheffield United are all interested in the Togolese international player.

Emmanuel Adebayor has played for four clubs in the Premier League during his football career.

He has played for Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Crystal Palace and Manchester City in the Premier League.

His last club in the Premier League was a short-term loan spell at Crystal Palace before he left for Istanbul Basaksehir.

The player scored three goals in 19 appearances for Istanbul Basaksehir during the last campaign as they missed out on the league title to Galatasaray.

Adebayor, 35, is seen as a possible replacement for Andy Carroll at West Ham United.

Ex-England international Carroll has left the Hammers after his contract ended in June.

Apart from Andy Carroll, West Ham United have lost the services of Marko Arnautovic and Lucas Perez.

Austrian international star Arnautovic has left for China, while Lucas Perez has joined Spanish La Liga side Alaves.
