French Ligue 1 outfit Rennes have reportedly agreed on personal terms with wantaway Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny who’s presently at loggerheads with the club.
The new development was revealed by French news outlet RMC Sport which revealed that Rennes are closing in on a move for the player after the agreement of personal terms but they have to reach a transfer fee agreement with Arsenal who want around £10m for Laurent Koscielny.
Fellow French Ligue 1 club Bordeaux were thought to be the favourites for Laurent Koscielny but the former French champions have to deal with the big threat of Rennes.
Apart from Rennes and Bordeaux, Lyon are also interested in signing Laurent Koscielny this summer.
Koscielny is at loggerheads with Arsenal after his request to leave the club on a free transfer was turned down.
According to him, he had an earlier agreement with the Gunners that they will let him leave the club on a free transfer this summer but club officials have denied the existence of such agreement.
Laurent Koscielny has one year left on his Arsenal deal at the moment and he’s currently training with the youth team after his refusal to join the others on the tour of the United States.
