Three-time European champions Manchester United have been handed a big boost in their pursuit of Leicester City defender Harry Maguire according to The Sun.
Harry Maguire has emerged as a top transfer target for the Red Devils in their bid to sign a new centre back.
According to the aforementioned publication, the Leicester City defender has told his club that he wants to leave this summer amidst the serious interest from both Manchester United and Manchester City.
The latest development is a big boost for Manchester United who recently had a £70m bid rejected for the England international star.
Manchester City have already pulled out of the race to sign him after they were priced out of a move for the English centre back.
Harry Maguire was linked with a move to Manchester United last summer after impressing for the England national team at the FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
He was part of the England team that finished fourth in the tournament.
Leicester City slammed a £60m to £70m asking price on him last summer amidst the Manchester United interest and that has increased to £90m after he signed a new contract at the start of last season immediately after the Foxes retained his services for the last league campaign.
