North London giants Arsenal have been seriously linked with a move for Sampdoria defender Joachim Andersen this summer as they try to sign a quality centre back.
The Gunners had one of the worst defensive records in the top half of the table last season and they want to rectify the situation before the start of a new season scheduled in almost two months time.
Recent reports from Italy claimed that Arsenal have made a third bid of €55m for Joachim Andersen and his Sampdoria teammate Dennis Praet though it remains to be seen whether that will be enough for the Italians to sanction the move.

Danish centre back Joachim Andersen will definitely add quality to the Arsenal backline if they are able to pull off a move for him.
Arsenal conceded over 50 goals in just 38 games in the Premier League and it was a big factor for the Gunners who missed out on Champions League football as a result.
The Gunners finished in fifth position on the league table behind the quartet of Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
