North London giants Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly leading the race to sign highly rated Sampdoria defender Joachim Andersen.
This is according to the publication from Italian news platform Calciomercato which claimed that Spurs are front-runners for the Danish international centre back ahead of other clubs.
He has also been linked with other European clubs like Manchester United, Inter Milan and Arsenal.
It was revealed that €25m (£22m/$28m) would be enough to prise him away from his Italian Serie A club in the summer.
He could be a possible defensive replacement for Toby Alderweireld at Tottenham with the Belgian international star reported to considering an exit.
Toby has a £25m release clause in his Spurs contract and he has been mentioned as a transfer addition for Manchester United dating back to last summer.
Joachim Andersen has been a regular fixture in the Sampdoria XI since his move from Dutch Eredivisie club FC Twente in the summer of 2017.
He was signed as a replacement for Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar who joined the Nerazzurri in a £20m deal that summer.
Joachim Andersen has provided one assist in 23 league games for his side this season.
He would be a fantastic addition to the Tottenham Hotspur setup.
