Bundesliga Giants Overtake Man City In €50m Race To Sign Chelsea Target

German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have reportedly overtaken Premier League champions Manchester City in the race to sign Juventus defender Joao Cancelo.

This is according to the latest reports coming out of the Italian media.

Manchester City were previously seen as the overwhelming favourites for the Portuguese international right-back until the recent development.

According to the specific report from the stables of popular Italian transfer news portal Calciomercato, Bayern Munich are now the favourites to sign Joao Cancelo.

The Portuguese international defender is expected to leave Juventus this summer after one season with the Italian champions following his transfer from Spanish La Liga club Valencia last summer.

Manchester City want to sign a possible replacement for Brazilian defender Danilo who could leave the Citizens this summer.

Joao Cancelo would provide competition for Manchester City’s first choice right-back Kyle Walker.

England international Walker has been the first choice right-sided defender at Manchester City since joining from fellow Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur.

Joao Cancelo has previously been linked with a move to Chelsea but the interest has cooled in recent months.

He was linked with a move to Chelsea shortly before joining Juventus from Spanish La Liga outfit Valencia last summer.

Money Liverpool Will Lose As Coutinho Joins Bayern Revealed

Premier League giants Liverpool have also been affected by the Barcelona exit of former player Philippe Coutinho on Monday.

Brazilian international Coutinho became a Bayern player earlier in the week following his loan transfer from Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona.

According to the UL Mirror, his loan move to Bayern Munich has a big financial consequence on Liverpool whom he left to join Barcelona at the start of last year.

It was revealed that Liverpool will lose at least £23m because of the loan transfer from Barcelona to the Allianz Arena.

Philippe Coutinho became the most expensive Barcelona signing in January after he completed a £142m deal to the Nou Camp.

Barcelona paid £105m upfront plus £37m in add-ons.

Liverpool won’t get the majority of the add-ons from the transfer to Barcelona after Coutinho left the club to join the Bavarian giants on Monday.

The 27-year-old will wear the number 10 jersey at the Allianz Arena.

Philippe Coutinho will be the direct replacement for Real Madrid loanee James Rodriguez who spent two seasons at Bayern.

James Rodriguez left Real Madrid to join Bayern Munich on loan in the summer of 2017 and he went on to win two league titles for the Bavarian giants.

Coutinho’s Shirt Number At New Club Revealed

Philippe Coutinho

Sportswear manufacturing giants Adidas have revealed the shirt number of Philippe Coutinho at German Bundesliga club Bayern Munich according to the UK Mirror.

The shirt number was leaked via their German language account on Instagram.

The deleted post had Coutinho’s name at the back of jersey number 10.

Philippe Coutinho wore the same jersey number while he was at Liverpool before his move to Spanish champions Barcelona at the start of 2018.

The 27-year-old has not found his form since he swapped England for Spain during the 2018 winter transfer window.

His transfer from Liverpool to Barcelona made him the most expensive player in the history of the Catalan club but the player has not been able to match that hype with his performances on the pitch.

Barcelona agreed on a club-record fee of €160m for Coutinho.

The Brazilian international will join Bayern Munich on loan for the new season for a fee of around €20m.

The Bavarian giants have the option to sign him on a permanent deal when the loan deal expires at the end of the season.

Philippe Coutinho would be the temporary replacement for the attacking duo of Frank Ribery and Arjen Robben.

Veteran wingers Robben and Ribery left the club this summer.

Bayern Confirm Loan Deal For Coutinho

Philippe Coutinho

German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have confirmed that they have reached a loan agreement for Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho.

Bayern’s CEO (Chief Executive Officer), Karl-Heinz Rummenigge made this known while he was fielding questions from reporters shortly after their league opener on Friday night.

Bayern Munich didn’t have the best start to the defense of their Bundesliga title after they played out a 2-2 draw with Hertha Berlin.

After the game, the Bayern Munich supremo told reporters that Philippe Coutinho will undergo his medical at the start of the new week.

Bayern Munich have reached a one-year loan agreement for the Brazilian international with the option to sign him permanently at the end of the loan spell next summer.

Philippe Coutinho came close to returning to the Premier League on the deadline of the English top flight transfer market. Fortunately, the move fell through.

The 27-year-old was linked with the North London duo of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur on the last day of the Premier League transfer window.

Coutinho has had to leave Barcelona on loan after he became surplus to requirements following the arrival of Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid this summer in a £107m deal.

Barcelona are also on the trail of Paris Saint Germain (PSG) attacker Neymar.

Ivan Perisic

German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have completed the signing of Ivan Perisic from Italian Serie A side Inter Milan.

Perisic has joined Bayern Munich on loan for the new season with the option for the Bavarian giants to sign him permanently at the end of his loan deal.

His loan transfer was confirmed by Bayern Munich on Tuesday morning via their official Twitter handle.

Bayern Munich were in need of wingers following the exit of two veteran wingers this summer.

Veteran wingers Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery left Bayern Munich at the end of last season.

They left the club at the end of their respective contracts at the Allianz Arena.

Ivan Perisic is expected to replace the aforementioned wingers as Bayern Munich pursue trophies on three fronts this season.

Bayern Munich will feature in the German Bundesliga, German Cup and the Champions League.

The Bavarian giants were beaten in the German Super Cup by rivals Borussia Dortmund earlier this month.

The five-time European champions were beaten 2-0 by Borussia Dortmund.

Ivan Perisic was previously a transfer target for Premier League giants Manchester United.

The 30-year-old came close to joining Manchester United in 2017 but the Red Devils were unable to agree on a fee with Inter Milan.

Philippe Coutinho In Shock Move To Bayern Munich

Philippe Coutinho

German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have enquired about signing Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho before the end of this summer’s transfer window.

This is according to the report from Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo which revealed that the Bavarian giants want to sign Coutinho this summer.

The German champions are without the wing forward duo of Arjen Robben and Frank Robert after the two players ended their career at the club last season.

Philippe Coutinho could be an addition to that department as Bayern Munich try to offset the loss of the two players.

Bayern Munich tried to sign Leroy Sane from Premier League champions Manchester City in a reported €100m deal this summer but the transfer was scuppered by the injury sustained by the player.

Sane suffered anterior cruciate ligament injury during the Community Shield clash with Liverpool who lost to the Citizens on penalties after both teams played out a 1-1 draw at the end of regulation time.

The German international winger has since been ruled out for at least six months as a result of that serious knee injury.

Bayern Munich see Coutinho as an alternative signing to the aforementioned Sane with the former Liverpool star surplus to requirements at Barcelona.
