Premier League giants Arsenal are still the overwhelming favourites to get a deal done for Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney this summer.
This is according to the publication from Italian transfer news portal Calciomercato which confirmed that the Gunners are still the front-runners to sign the Scottish national team player despite the new interest from Italian Serie A giants Napoli.
Arsenal are said to be trying to accelerate a move for Tierney as a result of the new interest from the aforementioned Italians but they are still some way off the €28m asking price from his club Celtic.
22-year-old defender Kieran Tierney is an utility player who can play as a centre back or as a left-back.

The Celtic player has also featured at right-back on several occasions.
Arsenal have made several bids for Tierney but they are still yet to hit the €28m target set by Scottish Premiership champions Celtic.
The Gunners have made the signing of a new left-back top priority this summer and Kieran Tierney is their first choice in that regard.
For Napoli, the Italian Serie A club wants to offload Portuguese defender Marco Rui on loan to make a space for Kieran Tierney in their squad.
