Premier League giants Manchester United have reportedly upped their bid for Leicester City defender Harry Maguire.

This is according to Sky Sports which revealed that Manchester United are in the driving seat in the race for Harry Maguire.

The Red Devils are in a two-way race to sign the England international centre back alongside rivals Manchester City.

Harry Maguire is believed to favour a move to Manchester City after the two interested clubs agreed to pay £60m for him.

Manchester United have now upped the stakes by increasing the bid for the defender.

The former Premier League champions are long-term admirers of Maguire dating back to last summer when they tried to sign him shortly after his stellar outing for the Three Lions of England.

The former Hull City and Sheffield United player was a key part of the England team that reached the semifinals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia before they were beaten by Croatia on penalties.

In the end, England finished the tournament as the fourth best team.

Harry Maguire has spent two years at Leicester following his £17m move from Hull City in 2017.

He has established himself as a key part of that first team at the King Power Stadium.
