Two West London outfits Chelsea legends Frank Lampard and John Terry are set to clash over the vacant job at their former home ground, Stamford Bridge.

Italian boss Maurizio Sarri left the club after one year to join Italian giants Juventus and there is a need to have him replaced.

Derby County coach Frank Lampard has been linked and tipped to be favourites in the race but Ian Holloway claims John Terry can be a better deal for the Blues team should they consider to land him this summer window and ahead of Frank Lampard.

The Chelsea legend became Aston Villa coach this season and has impressed by making a mark with a promotion back to the English Premier League through the Championship League play-off.

However, other reports have claimed that John Terry could be set to take over as Derby County manager if Frank Lampard takes over as Chelsea’s boss.

According to Ian Holloway John Terry has a big presence on the pitch and that has been held up to his career. He is tipped to do more as Chelsea because of his history with the club as a former player.

However, it is claimed that Frank Lampard has already agreed on taking the job with talks with the club owner Roman Abramovich ongoing.
