Portuguese giants Benfica are said to be plotting a move for Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas during this summer’s transfer window.

This is according to the publication from Daily Record which claimed that Benfica want to sign the experienced shot stopper this summer.

Portuguese champions Benfica are not the only club interested in a move for the Costa Rican international star.

Apart from Benfica, North London giants Arsenal have also been touted as a potential transfer destination for Keylor Navas who’s said to be surplus to requirements at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

Reports had claimed Keylor Navas will join Arsenal during the winter transfer window but those reports were farfetched.

Keylor Navas was the first choice goalkeeper at Real Madrid until last summer when Belgian international Thibaut Courtois joined the Los Merengues from West London giants Chelsea.

Real Madrid won three successive Champions League titles while Costa Rican international shot stopper Keylor Navas was the first choice goalkeeper at the Spanish La Liga giants.

The 32-year-old is said to be one of the players that could leave Real Madrid this summer as the Los Merengues rebuild their squad after a difficult campaign.

He made 21 appearances for Real Madrid during the said campaign including 10 league games.
