Former Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso is reported to have returned to his first club, Real Sociedad to take over as the head coach of the reserve team.
Xabi Alonso started his football career as a youth player in the Spanish La Liga outfit before having a big career at Merseyside outfit then moving on to Spanish La Liga outfit Real Madrid, and later Bayern Munich.
The 37-year-old 2010 World Cup winner, retired from active football in 2017 to settle for coaching after winning two European Championship titles as well.

The Spanish La Liga outfit have already made an official announcement that the former Liverpool midfielder will be with the club for the next two seasons as an agreement has already been reached.
Xabi Alonso remains one of the former Liverpool players that will be settling down for a coaching role after their active football career.
The club Legend Steven Gerrard has also settled for the same career but they all have a long time to go before being established as big managers in Europe.
However, it is expected that Xabi Alonso will adopt some of the tactics and pattern of play he learnt as a Liverpool player in his bid to achieve success.
