Three-time European champions Manchester United have turned their attention to an in-form Premier League player after they missed out on first choice Erling Haaland.
Manchester United were beaten to the signing of Erling Haaland by German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.
The player opted for Borussia Dortmund ahead of Manchester United and other interested teams like Italian Serie A champions Juventus and German Bundesliga league leaders RB Leipzig.
Erling Haaland scored 28 goals in 22 appearances for Austrian Bundesliga champions Red Bull Salzburg this season and that form attracted him to a host of clubs.

According to the report from The Metro, Manchester United are keen to sign Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin as the alternative to the aforementioned Erling Haaland and the English striker is rated at around £50m.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin is one of the most in-form strikers in the Premier League after scoring three goals over the two league games during this festive period.
He has scored the winning goal in each of the last two league games for the Toffees and that has propelled Everton to the top half of the Premier League table with 25 points from 20 games.
