With this in mind, Arsenal are targeting short-term replacements for the Spanish manager in the form of the double-acts of Freddie Ljunberg and Steve Bould.
Former Arsenal players Freddie Ljunberg and Steve Bould are now coaches at the club.
Swedish football icon Ljunberg is an assistant manager in the current Arsenal first team coaching crew under Unai Emery, while Steve Bould was part of that coaching crew before he left to take up the Arsenal u23 managerial job this summer.
