Former Juventus and AC Milan manager Maximiliano Allegri has been advised to wait for the managerial job at Manchester United.

Allegri was told to wait for the Manchester United job by compatriot and fellow Italian manager Fabio Capello.

Bayern Munich are shopping for a new manager after the Bavarian giants sacked Niko Kovac at the weekend.

Niko Kovac was dismissed from his role as the Bayern Munich manager on the back of the 5-1 thrashing handed out to them by Eintracht Frankfurt.

Maximiliano Allegri is one of the leading candidates for the job according to the latest media reports.

Others like Ajax Amsterdam manager Erik Ten Hag, Jose Mourinho, Ralf Rangnick and Arsene Wenger are also in contention.
