EPL outfit Man United chief Ed Woodward seems to have ended the speculations of Old Trafford making a move for England international winger Jadon Sancho this summer transfer window.

The interest in the Manchester City academy product is true and a serious one but the £100 million fee has been the reason why Manchester United cannot sign him, along with the current financial situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Signing a winger remains a top priority for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and he is bent on having it done with another option in January as a deal for the Borussia Dortmund winger now looks impossible.

According to Ed Woodward, the pandemic is creating a huge economic pressure that will affect every football club finances in January, He also stated that his team is not immune from it, the reason why they must spend wisely.

While insisting that his side must be responsible, he is more concerned about investments in youth players that will strengthen the future of the club  if they must survive this trying time.

Howbeit, Manchester United have been struggling in the premier league and that has created more need to bring in new players in January and this was also confirmed by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after numerous defeat.
