Three-time European champions Manchester United are said to have agreed on a deal with Brazilian international Alex Telles as they close in on their second signing of the summer.

According to journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi of French outlet RMC Sport, Manchester United have agreed on a five-year contract with the FC Porto left-back.

He made this known via his Twitter account as he added that Champions League finalists Paris Saint Germain (PSG) also have an interest in the player.

After the agreement with the player, Manchester United will now agree on a fee with FC Porto to finalise the transfer.

Alex Telles was a regular feature for FC Porto in the last campaign as they won two trophies namely the Portuguese Super League and the Portuguese Cup.

He was involved in 25 goal contributions for his team. The defender scored 12 goals and provided 13 more from his position.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to sign a new left-back in this transfer window to further improve his defence.

The Red Devils were pipped to the signing of Spanish left-back Sergio Reguilon from Real Madrid after they refused to agree to two major clauses inserted into the player’s contract paving the way for Tottenham Hotspur to sign him.

It looks like the club will finally get their left-back signing with Alex Telles.
