Chelsea Defender Fikayo Tomori Set For Everton Loan

Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori is close to joining Everton on loan for the 2020/21 season after he became surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.

This is via the various media reports in the United Kingdom.

Fikayo Tomori became surplus to requirements at Chelsea after the Blues signed experienced defender Thiago Silva on a free transfer.

Brazilian international Thiago Silva signed a one-year contract with the option of an additional year. He is one of seven new players at Stamford Bridge this summer.

Thiago Silva signed for Chelsea after the expiration of his contract at French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) whom he led to the Champions League final.

His last outing for PSG was the Champions League final which ended in a 1-0 loss to Bayern Munich.

Other signings at Chelsea include Kai Havertz, Malang Sarr, Xavier Mbuyemba, Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner and Ben Chilwell.

Ex-Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is the current Everton manager and he has been building a formidable squad.

Young England international Fikayo Tomori could prove to be a good addition to the Everton team. Everton signings this summer include James Rodriguez, Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Ancelotti and Everton are targeting a much better league performance this season after a disappointing 12th place finish in the last campaign.
