Man United given Eric Bailly condition

Man United might have extended the stay of Eric Bailly at Old Trafford until 2022 but that does not mean he will not be leaving the club earlier than that if need be.

The centre-back has not been consistent at Man United as he has been on the sideline several times due to injuries over the last few years. He even missed the first start of last season as a result of a knee injury.

Reports from Italy in August claim that Eric Bailly was offered to the Italian Serie A outfit AC Milan in August but a deal did not happen and he was forced to remain.

Promoesport Italia’s head Graziano Battistini in an interview with Calcio Mercato talked about the players under him, including the 26-year-old defender.

“The boy is in an important context such as that of United, before evaluating an exit there must be absolutely valid situations. The Milan idea may have a logic, but we need to evaluate many implications, today we are talking about nothing.”

However, the Red Devils have been unable to have positive results as a result of their lack of defensive qualities, having recorded just one clean sheet this season with no win in their last four league matches. Eric Bailly could be the solution to their team’s defensive crisis.

Eric Bailly’s representative said his player can help United turn things around with his presence and experience. “The experience with the Red Devils depends, as always, on luck, who you meet, on the opportunities.

If he has the right chances, for me he can be an important player to solve some problems of the team. If all this does not happen, it is clear that the situation will need to be assessed, but now it is too early to say certain things.”

Eric Bailly added that his client is focused on Man United as long as he can be allowed to play.
