Spanish La Liga outfit Barcelona are opened to reinforcing their youth system and have sighted Man United youngster Arnau Puigmal with the plans of approaching the English Premier League club for a deal.

The Spanish outfit are struggling to secure positive results from games and that calls for a need to have more experienced players in their team but that will not stop the recruitment of players in their team B as they lack a right-back in the team.

Arnau Puigmal is interesting in the Catalans, according to Sport and they will make a move for him as early as in the January winter transfer window.

The La Liga giants already have an idea of Arnau Puigmal before now as he was monitored when he was in Spain with Espanyol before his move to Old Trafford in 2017.

It is now left for the Red Devils to make their decision on if Arnau Puigmal should leave the club or not as he is highly valued by the club despite the fact that he is yet to make an appearance for the senior team.

Arnau Puigmal has just over six months remaining on his contract and the Red Devils are yet to agree on a new deal for him. It presents an opportunity to the Spanish giants to convince him of a return to Spain where he started his football career.

Man United have invested a lot in their youth team especially in their last summer transfer activities and might have no need for Arnau Puigmal despite claims that he is highly valued.

Reports reveal that Barcelona are desperate to land him and will ensure the deal is concluded before the end of his contract with the Red Devils.

Howbeit, we expect more transfer activities by the Red Devils for the youth team in subsequent transfer windows.
