Chelsea, Real Madrid handed major blow following announcement by PSG chief

PSG Sporting director Leonardo has announced that the club plan to keep French forward Kylian Mbappe for more years and talks to have his contract extended are underway.

Chelsea and Spanish La Liga outfit Real Madrid have been placed on alert after it was claimed that Kylian Mbappe wants to leave the club for a challenge elsewhere. The Los Blancos are keen on the Frenchman.

Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich has also given the hint that he would be spending big as soon as the financial effect of the coronavirus pandemic is overcome.

With his contract set to expire in 2022, PSG Sporting director Leonardo announced that talks to extend Kylian Mbappe’s contract are underway.

“We’ve started negotiations with Neymar, Mbappe and Di Maria to extend their contracts,” Leonardo told the club’s official website official website.

“Bernat, too, and Draxler is at the end of his contract

“Some young people too. We will intensify this.

“Remember that PSG suffered financial losses this year, we’re in a complicated moment and it’s not easy, but we’re talking directly with Mbappe and Neymar.

“There is a question of timing. The idea of an extension exists. We have arrived at the moment when we must have clearer situations.”

However, Kylian Mbappe unwittingly confirmed the words of the club’s chief by stating that he wants to be around when PSG celebrates her 50th anniversary, insisting he has to be available.

“I’m here. I am in the project for the fourth year,” Mbappe told beIN SPORTS,

“The 50th year of the club is an important year for the club, the supporters, everyone, so I will be there no matter what.” He said.

Meanwhile, winning trophies with the French Ligue 1 giants is the top priority for Kylian Mbappe but he failed to dismiss speculations of a move away from Paris in the future.
