EPL: Neville makes strange Paul Pogba claim

EPL pundit, Phil Neville has stated that it is strange for Man United to play games without French midfielder Paul Pogba, describing it as “disgraceful”

Paul Pogba has been starting from the bench in the last couple of games which hints that he is no longer a starter under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer again. The fact that her had just eight minutes in the 3-1 win against Everton on Saturday makes it worst.

The development is not acceptable to the former England international who feels Paul Pogba should be in the current team, not minding his form.

“I still think it’s absolutely disgraceful that Pogba can’t get in that team,” Neville told Premier League Productions.

“For United to win a league, for United to be successful, for United to play the style of football that Ole wants them to play then Pogba has to play.

“You can play one of them, Matic, Fred or McTominay and then you play Pogba with Fernandes.”

However, the role given to the former Juventus player by the Red Devils boss seem to be unacceptable to Phil Neville as he is not a deep playing midfielder.

Meanwhile, it is reported that Paul Pogba is not happy with the decision to trigger the 12-month extension option in his contract last month. The World Cup winner has not hidden his wish to leave the club to Spanish La Liga outfit Real Madrid.

The Red Devils are desperate to keep him at the club and were forced to take the decision to be able to end speculations surrounding his future.

The Red Devils brought in Donny Van de Beek to the team in the summer transfer window, and Bruno Fernandes in January. That has changed everything about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s selection with the Portuguese midfielder now favoured ahead of others, including Paul Pogba. This is one of the reasons why he wants to leave.
