Two Everton players have been named on the Team of the Week for Matchweek 33 after their respective performances for the Toffees in the 1-0 win over North London giants Arsenal.

Everton defenders Lucas Digne and Phil Jagielka made the list compiled by popular media portal Goal.

French international Digne made more tackles than any other Everton player (four) during the game while Phil Jagielka scored the only goal of the game after ten minutes.

Lucas Digne was involved in the buildup to the goal scored by Jagielka as his long throw led to the only strike of the game.

Jagielka initially started the game on the bench before replacing Michael Keane who dropped out of the starting XI after he fell sick during warm-up.

In addition, former England international centre back Jagielka made two clearances and two ball recoveries against the Gunners.

Everton were able to record a third successive win in the Premier League with the victory over Arsenal and also dent the Gunners’ top-four hope in the process.

Arsenal missed out on the opportunity to boost their top-four hope with a win away from home against the Toffees.

The Gunners have dropped out of the top four as a result of the disappointing defeat to Everton.
