English Premier League title holders Liverpool seem to have found the perfect cover for injured Dutch defender Virgil Van Dijk ahead of the January winter transfer window.
The Dutch defender has been ruled out of the season after an injury against Everton in the Merseyside outfit. His situation has made the Reds short of defenders, especially after Fabinho joined him on the treatment table.
Manager Jurgen Klopp has been told that he would be backed to engage for new players in the January transfer window so as to defend the Premier League title and he has been linked with several names.
Ajax centre-back Perr Schuurs is reported to be the man that will join the Reds team as long as a deal is agreed upon by the two teams.

Perr Schuurs is known to the Merseyside outfit because he was at Anfield about two years ago for a trial and wasn’t signed up. This could be an opportunity for him to get his chance to Liverpool.
He is currently impressing with the Ajax team as he now has more opportunity to do so with the exit of Matthijs de Ligt from the club to Italian Serie A outfit Juventus in the summer window.
The 20-year-old is believed to be valued with a reasonable fee that is affordable for Liverpool as manager Jurgen Klopp has been told that the deal must be within financial limits.
Any signing that would be made by the Reds team will be a long-term project that will not only serve as a cover but will be able to pair the injured Dutch defender when he returns for next season’s challenge.
Dayot Upamecano and Brighton’s Ben White on the wish list of the Reds team but it is yet to be seen if the former Borussia Dortmund boss will wish to invest in them.
