Former Man United player and pundit, Rio Ferdinand has stated that the only way the season can be described as successful for English Premier League club, Chelsea is when they win a trophy and finishing the season in the top four.
The west London outfit finished fourth last season to be able to secure a Champions League slot in Frank Lampard’s debut. They were also runners-up in the FA Cup. They will be expected to improve by a step with a trophy this season.

Already, the West London outfit have been eliminated from the Carabao Cup after suffering a defeat to North London outfit Tottenham on penalties in the last-16. They now have the FA Cup, Premier League, and the Champions League to compete this season.
The former Man United defender told VT Sport that “Champions League football, finishing in the Champions League positions ad winning a cup’ will be the least expectation from the Blues team.
“I think that’ll be the demands of Frank himself. Frank’s a winner, he’s accustomed to winning at Chelsea, he knows what the owner are asking but also the fans there” he added
The legendary England international defender is confident that Frank Lampard has a good team that can achieve all that is required as long as they can get in the groove and in the rhythm.
