The expectation of fans and pundits are that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will bring in new signings in the coming January transfer window but it is feared that they could be left disappointed at the end of the day.

Liverpool have lost key players to injury including Virgil Van Dijk and Fabinho which exposes their defence to dangers against opponents. The Dutch international is not expected to play again this season while the Brazilian international would be seen later on.

Several names have already been linked for a move to Anfield with reports that the German boss is preparing to bring in a new defender that will serve as cover for the former Southampton defender and also be able to play along with him when he returns from injury.

Liverpool Echo have now reported that there is no assurance that manager Jurgen Klopp will bring in a new defender in the coming January transfer window, adding that he could just decide to stick with his current squad and get the best from them.

This report confirms the claim made by former Liverpool player Adam Lallana who claims that the German boss is happy with the current situation at Anfield as he always likes to be an “underdog”
Adam Lallana added that Jurgen Klopp will surprise many by sticking to his team and getting them to pull the best result that is wished for.
However, the Reds are being linked with Ozan Kabak from the German Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04 with reports claiming that they will be making a move for him as soon as the January transfer window.

Manager Jurgen Klopp has described Liverpool’s current situation as being married to injuries as the list of the injured players continues to grow but that has not stopped his team from picking points in the Champions League and the Premier League.
