Mikel Arteta ‘raises alarm’ over this issue at Arsenal

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has admitted to being concerned about Arsenal’s performance in the final third of the pitch as they are unable to score goals in their last two Premier League games.

Despite being solid at the back, the North London outfit suffered 1-0 defeats against Man City and Leicester City respectively in their last two outings. This happens because they have not been scoring goals and manager Mikel Aretta has cried out by insisting that there must be an improvement in that area.

The last game saw the Gunners dominate Leicester City before Jamie Vardy came from the bench to condemn them to defeat wh8ile an early goal scored by French forward Alexandre Lacazette was denied by a VAR decision.

Expressing concern, Mikel Arteta noted that it is the duty of every player on the pitch to improve the attacking solutions.

He stated that the inability of his team to score when playing at the Emirates Stadium gives him a major concern. “It is the role of everybody, first of all, mine to give them the solutions and structure to attack better.”

Alexandre Lacazette was blamed for not concerting other chances he had to hand a point to Arsenal in the game against Leicester City as he has also not been in his goal-scoring form.

Meanwhile, Gabon international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is being criticized for dropping in form after he was handed a new and bumper deal earlier this season.

Mikel Arteta has refused to blame either of the players as he is confident that the former Borussia Dortmund player will score goals but he must be given time to achieve this.

The North London outfit will resume action against Man United at the weekend for a Premier League clash as they have had a perfect start in the Europa League so far.
