Arsenal manager Mikel Aretta has been told that he can feel more impact from Thomas Partey’s presence on the pitch if he is able to secure the signature of Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar.

The North London outfit were all out for the signature of Thomas Partey and Houssem Aouar but failed to land the France international, instead, they snapped up the signature of the Ghanaian international on the summer transfer deadline day by activating £45 million his release clause.

The French Ligue 1 outfit were uninterested in the bargain for Houssem Aouar, leaving no chance for the North London to make an attempt before the transfer window was shut in October.

However, Arsenal have been told by the club legend Ian Wright that the presence of Houssem Aouar will do a lot for the team as more would be enjoyed from the presence of Thomas Partey in the team.

The North London outfit might have suffered a defeat against Leicester City but Ian Wright is impressed by the performance of the Atletico Madrid midfielder

Ian Wright noted that Thomas Partey is exactly the type of player Arsenal have been looking for and he will help to get Granit Xhaka and Dani Becallos to operate better especially with his interceptions and ability to calm situations in the middle.

What we cannot say at the moment is if the North London outfit will be moving in for Houssem Aouar again and whether his asking price will be higher or not.

It has already been revealed that the Gunners are not done with the rebuilding of the team by bringing in new players and that is expected to continue in the coming transfer windows.

Meanwhile, reports claim that the North London outfit are not alone in the chase of the France international again and will be facing competition from other teams when they return for his signature.
