A lot has been reported about Arsenal’s decision to send William Saliba out on loan as he might not be ready for the first-team challenge in the Mikel Arteta team.

The young Frenchman joined Arsenal with a lot of prospects and was expected to move straight into the team and partner Gabriel Magalhaes but that is yet to happen as he has not played a single competitive game this season.

There were claims that Mikel Arteta wants William Saliba to continue his development and considers a loan move for him so that he can find playing time and gain more experience.

Already, a number of clubs, especially Brentford are reported to be waiting to land the player but with the latest report from The Athletic, William Saliba will no longer be leaving the Emirates Stadium.

The report says Mikel Arteta has made up his mind to give the French man a chance in Cup games as that could help him improve and get to the level that is needed to play in Premier League and Europa League games.

Howbeit, the North London outfit have got a number of centre-defenders at the club and it is expected that the likes of Sokratis Papa and Shkodran Mustafi will leave the club any moment from now.
