There is hardly any transfer window that English Premier League outfit Arsenal are not being linked with the signature of Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha and this summer window is not an exemption.

Football journalist Raphael Boucher had claimed that the Gunners could be preparing a deal for the Crystal Palace forward in a swap deal with another former player.

Chris Davison had to respond to the speculation when he appeared on The Chronicles of a Gooner Podcast with his opinion that a deal for will not happen this time.

According to him, the Gunners have a number of wingers in the team and might not need anymore because of the already existing competition in the team.

He stressed that Wilfried Zaha might not fit in the Mikel Arteta team again with the presence of Willian, Bukayo Saha, and Nicolas Pepe. He is also valued at £39.6 million which the Gunners might not pay.

Howbeit, the focus for the North London outfit is now on a midfielder as they are reportedly in talks for the signature of Houssem Aouar but a number of players are expected to leave the Emirates Stadium to be able to create room for more signings.
