Arsenal have just sealed the signature of Ghanaian international midfielder Thomas Partey from the Spanish La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid on the transfer deadline day by activating his release clause of £45 million.

The North London outfit were earlier reported to be reluctant in signing the player because of their lack of funds but were helped by Stan Kroenke, according to reports.

Thomas Partey is now one of the highest-paid players at the club as he is reported to earn about £260,000 weekly wage but there are already talks that it could be increased despite the fact that he is yet to play a single game for the Gunners.

This claim as made by the player’s father, Jacob Partey who claims that Thomas Partey is yet to be at his best and he is confident that his son will deliver a better performance than what was known in Atletico Madrid which will force the club to increase his pay.

He insisted that Thomas Partey will help Arsenal to achieve their aims, adding that the move to Arsenal is the best as his son will now play his heart for the club to succeed.

However, Thomas Partey is yet to play his first game for Arsenal as the international break is currently being observed but he could have his first game against Man City in the next weekend.
