Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has confirmed that the club is still in the summer market, doing all it takes to secure new additions for the season’s challenge.

Efforts by the English premier league giants to secure the signature of Houssem Aouar from French Ligue 1 outfit failed as they were unable to activate his release clause.

However, the Gunners are still being linked with a number of players and their deal could be concluded before the end of Monday.

Jorginho
Chelsea star Jorginho is one player that can still make a switch to North London if efforts are made by the Gunners in achieving that. The Italian is being linked away and there is no doubt that the Blues will release him but that may be subject to their ability to capture a new defensive midfielder as they are also being linked with Declan Rice from West Ham United and Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid

Amadou Diawara
The AS Roma midfielder is valued at £15 million by AS Roma and could be the deal for Arsenal as they are unable to pay for the services of Houssem Aouar and Thomas Partey. Tottenham are also interested in his signature which means the Gunners must fight for it.

Houssem Aouar
All hope is not lost for the Lyon midfielder, especially after learning that Barcelona agreed on a deal for Memphis Depay after the Friday ultimatum given by Lyon to all suitors.
