AS Roma have been in talks the Red Devils, for the signature of Chris Smalling, after enjoying his services on a loan term last season but that has not been able to work through owing to the asking price.
In the process of negotiating the Chris Smalling deal, AS Roma have enquired for the availability of Diogo Dalot on loan and have been told he will only leave the club on a permanent deal.
- Arsenal in a very complicated situation over this ONE deal
- Why United might no longer sign This Porto defender
- Hint that nothing is stopping this player from leaving Arsenal
Now it is reported that the Italian Serie A are considering the option of securing the service of Timothy Fosu-Mensah on a loan deal. The 22-year-old graduated from Man United academy in 2016 but has struggled for playing time with just 28 appearances.
He was in the starting sheet of the Red Devils for the season’s opener against Crystal Palace ahead of Aaron Wan-Bissaka but it is not certain he will be given more of those opportunities.
AS Roma are now considering the option of landing him on loan alongside the deal for Chris Smalling and that was expected to be negotiated before the summer transfer window shuts down on Monday.
