Man United had indicated an interest in Ousmane Dembele during the summer transfer window and it was expected that he will be a part of the deadline day signings but that did not happen as the deal went off.

The Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was in need of a winger and wanted the French forward to serve as an alternative to their first target, Jadon Sancho after they fail to negotiate a deal for the England international winger with the German Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund.

However, the Red Devils landed the signature of Amad Diallo and Facundo Pellestri, but they are both not at the level of the Barcelona star.

The emerging report have now proved that the Spanish La Liga outfit did not stop Ousmane Dembele from making the move to Man United, as a matter of fact, the club wanted him to leave because he has little chances of playing regularly this season.

The report claims the Catalans are unhappy with the Frenchman for his lack of ambition by rejecting the move to Man United, where he would have been guaranteed regular playing time.

It is understood that Samuel Umtiti was also blasted by the club after Monday night because he is also not in the plans for the season and failed to make a move.
