Manchester United defender Brandon Williams will stay at the club for this season, according to the report via the Daily Mirror.

This is despite the numerous loan offers received for him to leave the club before the transfer window shuts.

Brandon Williams has not featured for Manchester United this season and that has prompted talks of a possible exit.

A lot of football stakeholders expected the young Manchester United defender to follow in the footsteps of Diogo Dalot by leaving the club on a loan deal.

Diogo Dalot has joined AC Milan on loan for the rest of the season.

Just like Portuguese defender Diogo Dalot, Brandon Williams can play as a left-back or as a right-back.

Brandon Williams broke into the Manchester United team last season and was the first choice left-back at a stage.

Manchester United have decided to strengthen their fullback options with the imminent signing of Alex Telles from Portuguese champions FC Porto.

Alex Telles was an important player for FC Porto as they won the double at the end of last season. He scored 12 goals plus 13 assists in all competitions.

Manchester United will pay an initial fee of £13.5m for the Brazilian international plus  £1.5m in add-ons.
