It has been reported that Man United are not out of the race to sign French defender Benoit Badiashile from French Ligue 1 outfit Monaco as they are making moves for a last-minute swoop.
It is understood that Man United have seen a need to bring in another quality defender, especially after suffering a defeat in their opening game of the season. The club has since bounced back by winning their last game but that does not mean they will not be signing another defender again.

While Ole Gunnar Solskajer stated that he has a number of defenders and might not need to bring in new legs, it is believed that his stance have changed and the club is now considering a late attempt for the signature of 19-year-old Benoit Badiashile.
Benoit Badiashile is one of the best young defenders in Europe and he has been attracting interest from a number of top clubs and Man United are willing to take the bold step of landing him this summer window.
It is claimed that an earlier bid of £25 million submitted by the Red Devils for Benoit Badiashile was rejected by Monaco. They could now make an improved bid if they must land him before October 5.
