Reports in France have hinted that French Ligue 1 outfit Lyon will be forced to lower their fee for Houssem Aouar to be able to join Arsenal this summer transfer window.
Houssem Aouar is a major target for the North London outfit this summer window but they have since parked at the negotiation point with no headway as Lyon are insisting on £54 million.
While Mikel Arteta has continued to express confidence that a deal would still happen before the end of the summer transfer window, RMC Sport reports that the Gunners have made an initial £32 million for the midfielder but that was rejected.

An attempt to add France international Matteo Guendouzi in the deal also failed as they claimed they were not interested in the midfielder.
However, Get French Football News tweeted that Lyon will soften their stance on Houssem Aouar and accept a lower fee, including a bonus proposal.
Howbeit, it is understood that the midfielder is keen on a move to the Emirates Stadium and he is reported to have agreed on personal terms with the club with nine days left to the end of the summer transfer window.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have been told that they do not have to make another move for Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey who is also a target if they are able to secure the signature of Houssem Aouar.
