English Premier League giant(EPL), Manchester United have completed the signings of two South American players on transfer deadline day, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Red Devils secured transfers for free agent Edinson Cavani and FC Porto left-back Alex Telles on the final day of this summer’s transfer window.

Uruguayan international striker Cavani is a free transfer after his contract with French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) expired this summer.

He spent seven years at PSG where he ended up as the club’s highest goalscorer ever.

Edinson Cavani has agreed a two-year deal worth around £200,000 on a weekly basis and he flew into Manchester on Sunday night to finalise his free transfer move to Old Trafford.

The player was previously a target for Italian Serie A champions Juventus and Spanish La Liga side Atletico Madrid but the two clubs were not able to pay his agent fees.

Manchester United paid £5m in agent fees plus the £20m for his wages over the duration of his contract with the club.

Brazilian left-back Alex Telles will sign a four-year deal with Manchester United with the option of a fifth year after FC Porto agreed a £15m transfer fee for him.

Manchester United will pay £13.5m initial fees plus £1.5m in add-ons.
