Italian Serie A outfit AS Roma are no longer alone in the chase for Man United defender Diogo Dalot as AC Milan are now reported to have joined the race with the hope of winning it by Monday.
Diogo Dalot is being linked away from the Red Devils with AS Roma having a real interest in him. They have submitted an offer to land him on loan but that has been rejected by the Red Devils who seek a permanent deal for the player.
It is understood that talks are still ongoing as the major target for AS Roma at Man United is Chris Smalling. He is the player they seek to bring in on a permanent basis.

However, AC Milan are now indicating an interest in Diogo Dalot and are understood to have started talks with the Red Devils over the possibility of having a deal.
Should AC Milan present a better offer to Man United for Diogo Dalot they could win the race ahead of their league rivals AS Roma in the coming days.
Meanwhile, AS Roma are still on the negotiation table for the signature of Chris Smalling. Man United are insisting on £20 million for the defender and the Serie A outfit are only able to produce £13 million.
