Liverpool winger Harry Wilson will have to look for a new club between now and next week when the transfer market will shut after the potential transfer to Burnley collapsed.

According to Sky Sports, his transfer to Burnley has been called off after Clarets were unable to wrap up a deal with Liverpool for the Welsh international player.

Burnley wanted to take Harry Wilson on a season-long loan as manager Sean Dyche bids to add more bodies to his injury hit team.

Newcastle United were also interested in signing Harry Wilson from Liverpool but the Magpies didn’t firm up their interest in him.

Harry Wilson has returned to Liverpool after a relatively good loan spell at Bournemouth whom he could not save from relegation last season.

Bournemouth were one of the three teams that suffered relegation from the Premier League at the end of last season.

Harry Wilson started his loan deal with the Cherries impressively before his performances tailed off towards the end of the season. In the end, he scored seven goals for the South Coast club in the Premier League.

He was part of the Liverpool squad that crashed out of the Carabao Cup fourth round via penalties. Arsenal progressed into the quarterfinals at the expense of the Reds.
